Creole Chinadoll, Tomorrow In Patience

My closest friends know that I love the game of chess. There was a time where I had no choice but to make that game a part of my every day routine. As my daily routine dragged forward through the year my style improved, it grew richer. In my richness I came to understand that the game of chess isn’t about speed but more so about patience.
In the game called patience you set a goal and you aim for a time and you carefully watch everything that may hinder you from getting to that goal. You then base all your moves on how the next person moves. It looks like you’re setting up to play defense but you’re really offending.
You plant seeds here and there, shift changes there and here, you may stumble from time to time but you have to maintain focus on the end result. Essentially time has to shift, Even if you are losing. If you played your cards right then time has to shift in your direction and when it does, you strike and that strike should either be setting up for another strike and if not a checkmate, the end goal, the end result.
I heard many people tell me after a game that I was lucky, some people believed that it was a higher power or that the day wasn’t right. I believe that the check mate was a result of planting the right seeds, focus and following a plan that ended in what was visualized.
Why do I talk about this?
Because the lessons in chess reflect back in real life and in real life were men’s deadly sin of success is procrastination the best practice comes from knowing patience.
Patience was what Kitty had to go through, first with trying to get pictures sent to her from a photographer. Then having her interview shuffled because MXyMAG went through a transition. Then when she checked for her interview she saw Bria Myles instead of hers but now she gets to see the final product and she is the first face of that product. MXyMAG and she is worth being the first and plus, most people usually always remember their firsts, first time, first love, first eye candy?
I’m out!
INTRODUCE My name is Kitty Kennedy a/k/a Creole China Doll. I am a model who hails from Louisiana, home of the New Orleans Saints & Hornets, Creole & Cajun cultures, and birthplace of Jazz. My ethnicity is CREOLE, which consists of Indian, African & French.
SEXY I define “Sexy” as Arousing Desire. To Arouse Desire is to possess a power like no other. Everyone has their own level of sexy to a certain extent. But those who possess that “power” I referred to, arouse desire both visually & mentally, and are respected by both sexes. That’s me. My personality, heavy accent, and the fact that I’m articulate all play a part in my “sexy” as you call it. My looks come last in my opinion, even though it’s what usually Arouses Desire first when others look at me.
NUMBER 1 I’m always ready for a challenge, forever on top of my game, and would make it even if I had no one. My presence will be felt and my existence will be acknowledged. If you slam the door of opportunity in my face, I’ll throw a brick through the window…with my picture & a note rubber banded around it saying “See, I still got in!” Now what you know about that? (lol)
CAREER I started modeling 12 years ago and persisted for 8 consecutive years. Promos, competitions, dept. store fashion shows, and occasional hair & lingerie shows kept me busy during that period. I was even in a music video with Lil Wayne during that spell. Wanting to rest, I called myself taking a break from the biz. I planned a 1 year absence and upon re-entering, my goal would be to tackle the print side of modeling. 1 year developed into a 4 year hiatus! So here I am now in 2008, almost starting from scratch. Love is definitely being shown though. I’ve been featured in the June issue of V-Blazin Mag ( http://www.vblazin.com/VBLAZIN%20Candy%20Shop%20June%2015.html ). I also have upcoming features in Titanium Girlz, Straight Stuntin & Omigawd.
MOTIVATION I am my own motivation. I am a woman who has never had to go without. I’ve always enjoyed and taken advantage of the finer things in life. In order to continue living a comfortable lifestyle and to gain even more, it is imperative that I work for what I want. Things gained and achieved through ones own hard work is appreciated far more than what is given to us, or what falls in our laps.
HATE The hate list is one of those that can carry on forever. Be that as it may, I’ll give you 10: Liars – Fakers – Immaturity – Promiscuity – Lack of common sense – A closed mind – Loud women – People who have to brag about what they have to get others to like them – People who don’t believe in themselves – Men who approach me with intentions of trying to “holla”
FEAR My only fear is of failure. No one enjoys working hard and putting everything they have into it, only to watch it crumble right before their eyes. But with my strong will and ability to move on when things don’t work out quite like I planned, I have always been able to apply myself to bigger and better things. Giving up on all dreams just because one didn’t work out is not an option.
GROWING PAINS Making a name for yourself in the modeling industry is the growing pain that every model shares. Some have it easier than others, but that’s less than 10 percent. The key is to remain confident, focused, & promote yourself. Don’t expect or wait for someone to do it for you. That’s the sure fire way to disappoint yourself. Believe it or not, persistence does pay off, and our dreams are definitely worth taking the chance.
FORE FATHER My younger brother…He passed away the day after Labor Day of 2007. He is my inspiration due to the fact that he defied all odds in the short 25 years he was on this earth. Although he had multiple health problems and a mental disability, he still was able to accomplish more than someone healthy with all of their faculties. By knowing him, I know that all things are possible. He believed in me and encouraged me to stop procrastinating on getting back into modeling. I wish he was here to see that all is going well for me.
LIFE When I’m not on the grind, my life is peaceful and laid back. I have no kids, therefore no responsibilities but myself. My free time goes into spending quality time with family friends and my significant other, traveling, reading a good book, video games, internet, fine dining, going to the spa, watching boxing or MMA, and occasional clubbing.
SPIRITUALITY I pray everyday for others instead of myself. It is my experience that I’m blessed more by doing it this way instead of tapping on God’s shoulder every time I need something. I only have positive people in my life & live drama free. Everyday I look in the mirror and tell myself “I love you”.
LOVE STORY Love, honor and respect yourselves. Know what you are worth. Know that you are strong enough to survive on your own. Take control of your life and live it to the fullest. Don’t let anyone step on your self-esteem or your dreams. Love yourselves ladies and gentleman!
