How many of us have been in love before? That feeling that the person who we love is the end all be all? That if they leave us that we won’t be able to breathe easy? How many of us have had our heart broken before? How did that feel? Was it painful? Did we harbour any regrets? Did we become bitter, angry or obsessive?

You don’t have to do it but if you have been through this then raise your hand up. How many of us have gone through this several times? I have! It was painful each time. You know what’s the hardest part about love? Love is like crack, its good when you’re using it but separation is always hard (and no I have never done crack).

I talk about love because Ashanti says in her last answer how it’s important not to harbour negative emotions and it’s true. Because to harbour negative emotions means that the person still controls your outcome. It means that your next relationship exists solely because of the influence of the last person.
I have been in love before and had my heart broken over and over. I’m guessing Ashanti has been there too and if you haven’t then there is something wrong with you.

What is it that makes us all fall in love? I have to say that the events are random but similar each time we fall. When the events are triggered there is nothing we can do about it to stop us from being in love with the person who triggers them. We don’t choose who, what, when and why we fall in love. Love chooses us and this is why we get in trouble because love may have chosen one person but love doesn’t necessarily choose the person you fall in love with and on top of that some people know how to trigger love in people, some people are good but most have bad intentions.

To anyone who may not know who you are? My name is Ashanti aka Toi. I am from Cali but currently located in New Orleans, LA I am currently a MUA & Model.
You did some acting? I have dabbled a bit in the acting scene which I also like as well. My future goals are to own my own urban boutique & feature a perfume & Make-up line of my own as well.

What motivates you? What keeps me striving & moving forward especially when times get rough is the strength from the Man above cause I have Faith that I can successful with him in my life & My mother’s love & encouragement.
 

You have anything that drives you crazy? What makes me go crazy is dishonesty & misplaced trust in people that take advantage of you.

How do you feel about where your career is right now? I am happy with what i have accomplished in my career so far & i look forward to so much more that lies ahead for me.

Define SEXy. Sexy can be defined in so many ways depending on the person.
What do you mean? Sexy to me is the inner you. I realized I can be sexy when I became comfortable & confident with myself. As long as you are happy within yourself you can be sexy without even trying, by just being you.
 

On your way to becoming a model how did you struggle and how did you end up were u are now? I honestly think I’m still in the beginning process of modeling and I know that it’s not going to be handed to me so it’s going to be a struggle here and there to be successful.

You think you’ll be able to handle it? I’m ready for all my challenges that lie ahead cause i’ll appreciate all the hard work in the end.
My biggest fear was to leave my comfort circle in Cali and I had to face it and say either I try to get out there or sit here wondering, what ifs? At least if I try I will know and say I gave it my best instead of letting fear take control and dream about it at home. I conquered my fear by giving it my all & packing up and moving.

As an individual you come across fears, what is your biggest fear and what did you do to overcome that fear?

What do you do in life, when you aren’t in front of the camera? I am a Make-up Artist, I love doing charity & volunteer work it reminds me that I’m blessed for the opportunities that I have been given. It teaches me to always give back because we all have been down at some point in our lives.

What do you do as an individual that keeps your spirit up? To keep my spirits up when I’m down, I pray, do some volunteer, I work out. I try to stay productive because I know storms eventually pass.

Love Story? I think that because LOVE comes from deep within it’s the greatest thing. It can also be the worst thing that you can experience in your life, but if you give it your all & pay attention while you’re going through your journey of Love you will learn from the good and the bad.

That’s true but people get hung on the bad. Yea, appreciate the good don’t harbour regrets or hate from the bad. You will become a lot stronger you will grow into a better person because of your experience.
